The Physical Space of Clothing is not a radical dance.
It is a solo that explores impulses to move –impulses shaped by both pedestrian and dance traditions alike. The movement is “unoriginal,” we have all seen it somewhere else. At least, this is what I feel about it in the studio.
At the same time that I try to remember through this dance that every body is unique, I am reminded how much the same every body is. I am curious about the limits of creating movement with the body, the limits of creating new ideas with the body only.
As with catch?, I created The Physical Space of Clothing as part of my research for other side . |
